Djuru Binatang Ampat Arah

(Joo-roo Bin-a-tang Am-pat Are-ah)

"4 Direction Animal Form"

Djuru Arah is a form that consists of combinations of strikes in all four directions. This combined with the animal like movements is the reason for the name. Djuru Arah consists of 7 basic djurus.

Satu - (Viper shoots out it's tongue)

  1. Fake low sabre (back leg)
  2. Low sabre (lead leg)
  3. Mawasi (lead hand)

Dua - (The dragon swings it's leg)

  1. Counter sabre (lead leg)
  2. Sabre (lead leg)
  3. Side thrust (lead leg)

Tiga - (White crane stretches it's wing)

  1. Outside wheel (lead leg)
  2. Low side thrust (lead leg)
  3. Palm (lead hand)

Ampat - (Black python strikes out)

  1. Mawasi (lead hand)
  2. Side thrust (lead leg)
  3. Straight punch (back hand)
  4. Extended Sabre (back leg)

Lima - (King cobra strikes at the head)

  1. Low sabre (lead leg)
  2. Counter sabre (lead leg)
  3. Ridge hand (back hand)
  4. Extended sabre (back leg)

Anam - (Fierce tiger sweeps it's tail)

  1. Fake sabre (back leg)
  2. Low sabre (lead leg)
  3. Rake (lead hand)
  4. Back sweep

Tudjuh - (Golden monkey plays on the ground)

  1. Mawasi (lead hand)
  2. Front sweep
  3. Tandik (back leg)
  4. Retreat up
